Unix has been the most scalable and dependable network operating system for many years, and Venmar Systems has been networking with Unix since before Windows NT even existed. Linux, which is very similar to Unix, has not been around quite as long, but is making serious headway in the networking server market, and Venmar sells and supports it as well.  In addition, Unix or Linux make an excellent platform for high-activity database serving.  We focus on the SCO OpenServer, Unixware and SuSE/Novell Linux operating systems, but can support others as well.

Our Unix and Linux servers are designed to be dependable and as fault-tolerant as possible.  We use only high-quality components, and have tested them to make sure they work well with the chosen operating system.  Our Unix & Linux servers:
